How Curious...
Welcome to the weird and wonderful
world of Catherine De Wit. A freelance photographer from
Melbourne, Cat has been viewing the world from behind the lens
for just over 15 years, and has established herself and her
company Stray Cat Images as a solid, boundless creative entity.
With work ranging from weddings to portraits and exhibitions
themed after a coffee spill, Cat has shown the world just
what can be done with a light heart, a full latte, and an
uncanny ability not to sleep.
We caught up with Cat to talk about stacking CDs on dogs, and the reason she
can't colour-correct photos with extreme sports on TV.

Love is Confusing Upside-down
Melbourne-based Justin M. Maller
lives in a world few could comprehend. A world with twisting
metallic arches, endless horizons, and a sense that gravity
is just another consumer product and only he can see past
the brain-washing advertisements. His unique and skilled
expressions utilise a variety of digital-based art forms.
They leap from the screen, and thunder out of their frames,
combining a 3D world with a sense of surrealism that will
leave you dazed.
As if its not enough to have this level of work at his
back, Justin is also founder and owner of the famed Depthcore,
and has collaborated with some of the best artists worldwide.
This is one Australian artist you just can't overlook.

again you don't have to be backed by a huge
budget to achieve success in the music industry
(suck on that, Australian Idol).
We caught up with Kveta at Obese to chat about the scene
and to get some insight into just how this phenomenon happened.

Drawing A Conclusion
Jason Badower is a force to be reckoned with. The style and quality of his work
is of the highest standard and his impact in the Australian comic scene over
the last 13 years has proven this. With work on titles such as Anthology, Disciple,
Zxenith, PSI, Killeroo and The
Fisher, it's no wonder Jason was nominated for 9 Ledger awards last year,
including Best Artist, Best Colourist and Best Cover Artist.
We asked Jason a few questions, and he was more than happy to provide us with
an insight into his world. He also threw us some simply amazing examples
of his work at the same time!
